Here at status, we document every area of the clients potential new home in detail, and provide a comprehensive report detailing the home’s components – along of course with any observations and safety issues that are present. This information is then expertly organized in a premium format that is both easy to navigate, displays our key findings so that they are rapidly identified, and does not overwhelm the reader with all of the information at one time.

Here at Status, we invest thousands of dollars yearly to employ this fashion of software to facilitate an easier navigation of the inspection reports by our clients and agent partners – and to provide a much more pleasant experience to our home buyers when receiving and reviewing the report.

FAQ – ABOUT OUR HOME INSPECTIONS

We accept all major credit and debit cards, and of course cash. You will be able to pay online once your order is booked, right up to the day of the inspection. You can also pay on the day of the inspection.

This will vary based upon the inspection services requested. In general, the following is a good guideline:

  • Buyers Home Inspections – 1hr per 1000sf – extra for older homes and homes with pools
  • Mold Inspections – 1-2hr per 1000sf – dependent upon extent of issue
  • Wind Mitigation Inspections – 1-2hrs
  • 4-Point Inspections – 1-2hrs
  • WDO Inspections 1-2hrs
  • Pool Inspections 1-2hrs

Reports are sent to you via email within 24 hours of the inspection. We work to keep the wait to a minimum – but likewise, we ensure the quality and accuracy of our reports.

Yes, providing there is safe access, we get on all 1 story roofs in order to inspect the covering. Exceptions would be in the roof is brittle and there would be a danger of damage – either way, we will document inspection efforts in the report. In such cases, and for roofs over 1 story high – we deploy state of the art DJI aerial drones – equipped with high-resolution cameras that enable us to inspect even the most difficult of roofs.

Yes, and No!

Yes – we give a ‘face value’ ball park figure based upon what we can see – keeping in mind this could be the tip of the iceberg. Generally, if a repair or defect is noted, and the cost to repair could potentially cost upwards of 1000 – we will recommend on the report to obtain a number of formal quotes by the appropriate contractor

NO – we are solely an inspection company – we have no affiliations with any service provider or contractor. We believe that by maintaining a strict ‘Inspection Only’ philosophy, we can assure you that there is no conflict of interest in our reports and inspection services.

If you are shopping around, be sure that your inspector is well invested in his or her profession.

You do not have to attend the inspection – our reports will be highly detailed and will appraise you of everything that we inspect within the property – however you are of course welcome to attend throughout the inspection.

We will need to have access to the property initially, and finally an authorized representative to secure the property upon our departure. This is commonly the seller, listing agent or your agent.
